This is our first mirror design and is called Vardo, in 2 colour variations, Verde and Midnight.
Funky, quirky, deliciously retro and as always from seven2 wall art unique, look no further as not every person will gaze upon their beautiful self in a seven2 mirror.
Too often art is hidden or perhaps not as accessible as it should be, we believe in having a little of both, those pieces for private pleasure and study but also pieces that are functional and capable of integration into the modern house.
Coasters were our first approach and second, we have the mirror.
Although not designed or intended to be, the design as it took shape and maybe more so, the colour made me think of a traditional Romany horse wagon which was called a vardo.
380 x 380mm 7 layers with replaceable 3mm acrylic glass for safety.
Though fully functional we don’t recommend the mirrors for use in a bath or shower room.
Each artwork piece is designed, and made from start to end by myself in Northwest Ireland using a mixture of wood materials, MDF and plywood varieties including birch, poplar, and mixed hardwoods. All colouring is from ‘Tikkurila’ acrylic and/or enamel paints. As wood textures naturally vary and I often mix paint shades myself the finished artworks can and do vary. Some pieces are totally unique in colour whereas others will always vary a little from the one I made before, which helps make your chosen piece more exclusive! The light angle,time of day etc make each piece look different at different times which adds to the ambience of each design.
