These sets come as a complete box with 4 coasters.
As with all our work the designs are completely original and unique to us.
These 3 designs are titled ‘Nordic burst’, ‘Daisy love’ and ‘Quadro one’ In person we sell these sets with a wide-ranging colour variation but online we will keep them a little simpler for ordering purposes. All four coasters are not only individually designed but also designed to integrate and interact with each other. Although formatted in a particular order - that order is fully interchangeable so you can stack, display and admire any way you choose!
The box is custom made from 3 pieces of MDF with a birch dowel feature inset and running through each corner – both an aesthetic and structural addition. All coasters are double coated both sides with Tikkurila enamel paint and then double coated both sides with a satin (low sheen) polyurethane varnish. They are water resistant, but we do not recommend prolonged soaking in water or a dishwasher. Wipe clean with a damp cloth if required.
The box measures 120mm square, the coasters 100mm.
Each artwork piece is designed, and made from start to end by myself in Northwest Ireland using a mixture of wood materials, MDF and plywood varieties including birch, poplar, and mixed hardwoods. All colouring is from ‘Tikkurila’ acrylic and/or enamel paints. As wood textures naturally vary and I often mix paint shades myself the finished artworks can and do vary. Some pieces are totally unique in colour whereas others will always vary a little from the one I made before, which helps make your chosen piece more exclusive! The light angle,time of day etc make each piece look different at different times which adds to the ambience of each design.
